Life's Lessons: I'm just like my infant

share our button

Time for more life lessons. As usual, they are as much of a surprise to me as to anyone!

  1. Teething gel is amazing.

  2. Like, scary amazing. Like, Baby Girl falls asleep on her own the first time I put her down amazing.

  3. Which means my poor baby has been waking me up all night because she was in pain. Which makes me feel like crap for whining about it.

  4. People? I talk about sleep too much.

  5. I think about sleep too much.

  6. I remember a time in my life when I actually SLEPT too much. Remember it fondly.

  7. There are other things going on in my life, I swear.

  8. Really.

  9. There's also food.

  10. Burritos and sandwiches and scones and cookies and waaay too much cheese and crackers.

  11. I lost another pound this week.

  12. Breastfeeding is awesome. Awesome I tell you.

  13. I think Baby Girl and I have a lot in common. We both eat and sleep all the time.

  14. Except she plays too.

  15. I need to play more.

  16. Who wants to play with me?

  1. Sleep is amazing. I used to get a lot of sleep, and now, not so much. Sadly this isn't because I have a cute baby, just mostly stress :-)

I think we all need to play more!!

  2. I'll come play with you! And sleep? It's an obsession of mine. I'd say I dream of it...but I'm not sleeping these days either. Ok, what kind of teething gel are you using? Wonder if that's Donut's problem...

  3. I wrote about teething gel once, too. I'd avoided it like the plague for months and then tried it on a desperate night & fell in love. However, I switched to the all natural stuff again right after that, when the announcements about benzocaine came out. But yeah, teething relief--when it works--is totally amazing stuff.

I'm also obsessed with sleep because I get so little of it.

  4. Ah, sleep. I remember those days. I wish I had more sleep now. Sigh. ;)

  5. I can't seem to get enough sleep! I'll sleep for like 12 hours and still want more.

And, good for you on losing a pound. I've apparently gained a few more :(

  6. I remember that stage when all I talked about was sleep. Hoping the remedy makes it better!

And I'll come play with you anytime :)

  7. Sleep is awesome. I don't know a single adult who couldn't use more. (Except my husband. He makes sure he gets plenty. He sleeps more than the kid does.)

Also, don't know a single mom who couldn't use more play too.

I'm not helping, am I? Sorry!
